Rufus is a bitter, disenchanted, heartbroken, disenfranchised long-suffering and unpublished writer and sometimes substitute teacher who undergoes an enlightenment and an awakening (apparently in that order) when an intoxicating, handsome and manipulative stranger brings him back to life. There. That's the description. Rufus also says that the film's director better get it right this time and to make sure the film has just the right amount of pontificating and useless blubbering this time. Duly noted.
